Govt Imposes Total Ban On Rubberwood Exports AGAIN. The same policy was implemented from Jan 1, 1999, to Dec 22, 2000, but due to difficulties faced mainly by rubberwood manufacturers and suppliers, particularly the smallholders, the government had then decided to lift the ban and allowed some rubberwood to be exported through the quota system.
